Email Setup Instructions

If you are a GOIN member and have not started using your new getgoin.net email account, please follow these configuration steps.

After making these changes, you will receive copies of previously read email messages ranging as far back as January. If you receive a large number of email messages daily, it may be in your best interest to delete these 'old' messages before you complete these instructions. Please visit GETGOIN WebMail (http://mail.getgoin.net) and log in with your username and password. Here, you may delete old messages directly from the mail server.

Note: GOIN officially offers technical support for Microsoft Outlook Express. The following instructions have been written specifically for Outlook Express versions 5.0 and up.
  1. Open Outlook Express

  2. Click on Tools

  3. Click Accounts

  4. Be sure you are on the tab Mail

  5. Select your account (if not already highlighted)
    At this point, the window should look similar to this:



  6. Click Properties

  7. In the first field, replace the current text with mail.getgoin.net

  8. Change your email address to you@getgoin.net
    jdoe@goin.missouri.org would be jdoe@getgoin.net
    jdoe@windo.missouri.org would be jdoe@getgoin.net

  9. At this point, the window should look similar to this:




  10. At the top of this window, click Servers

  11. Change incoming mail POP3 to pop3.getgoin.net

  12. Change outgoing mail SMTP to smtp.getgoin.net

  13. At this point, the window should look similar to this:




  14. Click OK

  15. Click Close
