The Ava Alumni Foundation is a non-profit corporation, dedicated to supporting educational excellence and preserving the history and heritage of the Ava Public Schools. In the second Docomo yearbook, the graduates of the Class of 1904 were listed as the first members of the Alumni Association; there were eight of them. Since then, literally thousands of graduates have marched through the graduation line to become members of the Ava Alumni Association. Likewise, hundreds of teachers have been a part of our history and heritage. Many Ava graduates returned to become teachers at Ava. In any community, the school, with all of its memories and traditions, is central to the spirit of the people who live and work there. So it is with Ava Schools, now serving over 1600 students in a district that covers about 340 square miles. The Ava Alumni Foundation issues an open invitation to all Ava graduates and those who have attended school here over the past century to become involved with this association and its projects. This is our 100th year of producing graduates from the Ava High School.
