    Victim's Section

No one intends to be a victim of violent crime. Sometimes due to circumstances beyond our control a violent crime happens that will affect our lives.

The trauma of a violent crime is devastating to individuals, families and friends and neighbors.

You need not be alone during this time in your search for understanding, support, answers and help.

If you become a victim of a violent crime report it immediately to your local law officials. Please try to remain calm as you make your report so that you may accurately describe the situation.

If you are being threatened report it immediately to your local police department or sheriff's department.

You may ask for the services of a Victim Advocate at any point during your ordeal from the time that you first report a violent crime throughout the entire process of the court proceedings.
